Implant Dental Care

We embrace the latest methods and materials to ensure the best results. Most importantly, we explain the procedure in plain English.

We recognise each patient and each dental implant is different. That’s why we go to great lengths to talk through every aspect of your practice before any dental implants treatment is started and keep in regular contact going throughout the whole implant journey.

How do implants work?

Dental implants can often be used to replace missing teeth and support dentures or bridges.

A small titanium fixture (the ‘implant’) takes the place of the original root of the tooth. It is gently implanted under local anaesthetic in a short surgical procedure. The bone of the jaw then grows closely around the titanium implant locking it in position solidly. A crown or bridge can be placed upon the implant to restore missing teeth.

Dental implants can have a huge impact on your quality of life. Many patients can now eat their favourite foods again and no longer feel they need to hide their smile.

Dental implants can also be used to support dentures. This can be life changing for people struggling with loose dentures. They allow people to have confidence, stability and comfort when chewing and speaking.
